Ted’s Veg – Delivery Terms & Conditions
1. Delivery Schedule
Delivery Window: Deliveries are made overnight between 00:00 – 08:00. We do not guarantee an exact delivery time within this window.
Order Cut-Off Times:

Monday: Order by 11:00 PM for Tuesday delivery

Tuesday: Order by 11:00 PM for Wednesday delivery

Wednesday: Order by 11:00 PM for Thursday delivery

Thursday: Order by 11:00 PM for Friday delivery

Friday: Order by 11:00 PM for Saturday delivery

Saturday: No standard deliveries on Sundays (unless pre-arranged)

Sunday: Order by 11:00 PM for Monday delivery
Orders may be placed up to 10 days in advance.
2. Minimum Order & Delivery Area

Minimum Order Value: £100 per delivery

Delivery Coverage: Standard delivery is available within the M25 unless otherwise arranged

3. Order Amendments & Cancellations
Orders can be amended (by placing an additional order) or cancelled up until the 11:00 PM daily cut-off.
Changes or cancellations requested after this time may not be processed.
4. Delivery Access
If no one is available and no safe place is provided, the order will be returned to our depot.
Redelivery may be possible; additional charges may apply.
Where customers provide keys, alarm codes, or entry instructions, we will follow them as directed. Ted’s Veg accepts no liability for any loss, theft, or damage resulting from deliveries made using these methods.
5. Temperature-Sensitive Deliveries
Customers are responsible for immediate cold storage (e.g., fridges or freezers) for dairy and frozen items.
Ted’s Veg is not liable for any spoilage due to inadequate post-delivery storage (e.g., milk left in a warm hallway).

6. Returnable Packaging
Orders may be delivered in reusable plastic trays.

These must be returned with the next delivery

A charge of £4.50 per unreturned tray will apply

Alternative packaging (e.g., cardboard) can be arranged upon request
Tray Returns: Leave trays out for your next delivery. If no delivery is scheduled, contact us to arrange a pickup.
7. Out of Stock & Substitutions
Occasionally, items may be unavailable due to seasonal or supply issues.
We will provide the closest alternative unless you specify “no subs” in your order.
8. Standing Orders & Bulk Supply
We support standing weekly orders and bulk purchasing.
Please contact our team to set up recurring deliveries or discuss tailored supply arrangements.
9. Order Confirmation
You will receive an email confirmation once your order is successfully submitted.
If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us to ensure your order has been processed.
10. Reporting Issues
All delivery issues (missing, damaged, expired, or incorrect items) must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Issues reported outside this timeframe may not be eligible for credit or replacement.

11. Payment Terms
Invoices are issued daily via Xero.

Standard payment terms: 7 days from the invoice date

Late payments may incur charges and could affect future deliveries or service availability
12. Office Hours
Emails to Enquiries@tedsveg.co.uk are monitored 24/7.
Core operating hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Emails sent outside these hours may take longer to respond to.
Account verification and support may be delayed outside these hours.
13. Looking to Change Supplier?
If you're considering a switch to Ted’s Veg, we recommend sharing your last two weeks of invoices to help us:

14. Additional Conditions

Customer Responsibility: Ensure the delivery area is clean, accessible, and suitable for perishable goods

Seasonal Variation: Product quality and availability may vary seasonally

Custom Requests: Special requests (e.g., labelling, handling, packaging) must be made at the time of ordering

Returns & Refusals: All returns require prior authorisation and may incur a restocking fee
15. Limitation of Liability
Ted’s Veg shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or business interruption, arising from delays, missed deliveries, or product issues beyond our control.
16. Data Privacy
All access details (keys, codes, instructions) are handled with strict confidentiality and used solely for delivery purposes. These are stored securely and deleted upon request or service termination.
17. Force Majeure
Ted’s Veg is not liable for delivery delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control, including (but not limited to) natural disasters, transport disruptions, strikes, or government regulations.
18. Right to Refuse Service
Ted’s Veg reserves the right to refuse or cancel deliveries or accounts at our discretion. This includes cases of repeated non-payment, service abuse, or safety concerns.
19. Refunds & Credits
Where approved, refunds or credits will be issued within 5 business days.
Credits will be applied to your account and reflected in the next invoice, unless otherwise requested.
20. Transfer of Responsibility
Once the delivery is completed as per instructions or left in a designated safe place, responsibility passes to the customer, including for temperature control and security.
21. Terms Updates
Ted’s Veg may update these terms occasionally. Updated versions will be:
